From market signal to commercial opportunity
Finding market news in Europe is easy now.
Tenders, permits, funding awards, plant expansions, new hires. Thousands of them every week, in every language Europe publishes in. Any sales team can get more of it with one more subscription.
The hard part is knowing which piece of it is worth a sales trip.
That is the work we do. Here is how we go about it.
Start with what you sell
Before we look at the market, we look at you. What you really make, where it fits, what it does not do, and the kind of customer you can serve well.
A EUR 50 million project can have nothing in it for you. A EUR 2 million upgrade at the right plant, at the right moment, can be worth far more. The size of the headline tells you very little. The fit tells you a lot.
Then ask five plain questions
For every signal that looks interesting, we ask:
- Does it fit? Your product, the process, the scale.
- Is there evidence? One press release is a hint. A permit, a budget and a new engineering hire pointing the same way is a story.
- Is the timing right? The best position is often won before a tender is public. Arrive after the specification is written and you are usually there to make up the numbers.
- Can we reach the buyer? Who decides, who specifies, who signs.
- Is it worth it? For you, with your team, this year.
Most signals fall at one of these. That is fine. A clear "not this one" saves a year and a few flights.
Pick up the phone
Much of what decides a deal is never published. Who really makes the call. Whether the money is approved or only hoped for. Why a buyer said no last time.
So we talk to people in the market. That is usually where a signal turns into an opportunity, or quietly stops being one.
What you get
A short brief, not a pile of alerts. What is happening, what it means for you, who to talk to, and when. Every claim is labelled verified, inferred or unknown, so you can see how much weight it carries. And you see what we threw out, and why.
Then the call is yours. You know your business and your customers. We do the legwork in markets you do not have the time to watch, so your team spends its time where there is a real buyer.
Three answers, all useful
Sometimes the answer is a live tender to bid for now.
Sometimes it is an account to start talking to before anyone else does.
And sometimes it is "leave this one". That is a good answer too.
Fewer signals. More context. Enough to act on.
